Arkady Plastov is a Russian painter known for his tree, river and sunrise paintings. He first moved to Paris in 1936, where he studied painting under Fernand Léger and Jean Metzinger. Plastov's work has been held in prominent exhibitions over the past 50 years including at the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY. His work is included in prominent collections such as the Tate Gallery London & The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Buenos Aires).
